A Place For You...
What is up?! I'm Jonathan and I'm so glad you are taking the time to check out Fieldstone's website! I've been the Lead Pastor here since July of 2014. I'm married to Kelly (née Hinshaw) who is a teacher in Montgomery County. We have two dogs and love to take them on walks, explore nature, and travel together.
Fieldstone is an amazing church with amazing people - I am blessed beyond measure to be the pastor here! Let us know how we can be praying for you and serving you as we seek to ROCK out for Jesus in the New River Valley and beyond!
My name is Erin Johnson and if you know me, you know I’m living the dream. I’m a lifelong resident of Blacksburg and have been involved with Fieldstone almost since the beginning. I’m attending Liberty University working towards a Master's Degree in teaching.
I grew up in the church and was really involved in my youth group as a kid and now I volunteer in leading the student ministries here. I really enjoy hanging out with students and helping them grow in their faith. I also help with the leadership of our young adult group, which is pretty awesome, and I dig the mission of Fieldstone.
Most of the time I’m listening to the Dave Matthews Band and watching reruns of Friday Night Lights!
When you come by Fieldstone be sure to give me a shout in the office!
Judy Job, Lay Pastor
In 2000 Bob and I returned to Christiansburg, where I grew up. We moved after living 23 years in Armonk, N.Y. In July of 2000 we met Lynn Alley-Grant who was starting a new Methodist church. She asked us to be on the planning team for Fieldstone Church.
My pastoral care experience includes: A leadership role in Community Bible Study, Being a Pastoral Care volunteer at a hospital in Mount Kisco, N.Y., and a two-year course in pastoral care. I have also been a Member of the Order of St. Luke since 1982, served as a volunteer with Good Samaritan Hospice from 2001-2011. I have served as a licensed Lay Speaker in the Roanoke District and a Lay Pastor at Fieldstone since 2006.
Stacy Shrader, Nursery
My name is Stacy Shrader and I have the honor of working in the nursery at Fieldstone. In my past, I have taught Sunday school at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Roanoke, VA and have been in a lot of involvement there. I have lived in Roanoke all my life, so I know a lot about the area and can't get enough of the mountains.I am now attending Virginia Tech to get my undergraduate degree in Public Relations and Management. I am a big sports fanatic and love to keep active! I'm excited to be in the nursery and love the time I have with the children
